What Is Sam Doing Now?
Sam Boatwright winner of the Biz Factor 2009 Competition actually started trading in February this year and has just given up his permanent full time employment as an employment coach/adviser at A4e pathways in Keighley to concentrate on his growing business.
Sam's winning business idea,"Viper Vending" was offering free vending machine services to businesses, giving them a percentage of the profits with no hassle.
Bradford Kickstart sponsored the event during Global Entrepreneurship Week, donating £1,500 prize money, which has so far been used to purchase stock, pay rent for premises to store his stock and purchase a computer.
Sam has also benefited from free business advice from Airedale Enterprise Services Kickstart Business Adviser Rav Panesar who helped Sam put a business plan together and referred him to an accountant for free financial advice.
Sam says the business is going well at the moment with new contracts coming up and some copyright issues he is ironing out.
He said,"Without the money from the competition I would not have been able to buy my computer or even have an office, these things have benefited me more than you can imagine."
We wish Sam all the best for the future growth of his business; he has promised to keep us up to date with his progress.
