Coffee Love

Coffee LoveJoanna Greenwood & Louisa Rollins

Keighley women Joanna Greenwood and Louisa Rollins, best friends since they went to school together, often dreamed of running their own business.

So when they learned that space for a coffee shop had been created in the new glazed canopy entrance to Keighley Market, they just couldn't let the opportunity pass them by.

With their passion for coffee they knew they should call the business Coffee Love.

"Many people say we are very brave to start trading during the recession but we have no regrets and we're encouraged by the numbers of customers coming in," says Joanna.

Louisa added: "We have taken a long tenancy from the Bradford Council's market service, particularly here in Keighley, have been great.

"So have the people at Bradford Kickstart and Airedale Enterprise Services. They gave lots of good advice and ideas and arranged for us to go on a free accountancy course."

With seating for up to 60 people, plus an outdoor patio for warmer days, Coffee Love is open the same hours as the market hall. As well as a wide range of speciality coffees, teas and soft drinks there are freshly made paninis, toasties and sandwiches, and award winning hand-made cakes to enjoy.

So how do Joanna and Louisa feel now about running their own business now?

"We just love it," they chorused. "We both grew up in Keighley, our children go to local schools and we love the town."We want people to enjoy a great tasting cup of coffee with quality food in a welcoming place and that's what we offer."

The dynamic duo are now looking forward to the official opening of Coffee Love, on Saturday, February 20th.
